An Update From the Farm

We are expecting a fresh load of sawdust to arrive at the farm tomorrow. We use the sawdust in the white hoop barn where the cattle hang out. We try to bring the tractor into the barn every couple of days to “rip the pack” which means that we basically rake it to get the pack composting and heating up better. After we turn it all over, we put fresh, dry sawdust on top. This is basically like clean sheets and a warm bed for the cattle. Everyone else has been staying dry and happy as well.
